DARWIN FALLS QUARRY |
PANAMINT CROSSING MILE 1
|
The quarry at Darwin Falls sits the the western end of the route's main lines. Sediments in the area are known for limestone and marble, as well as aggregate used in the production of concrete. Lynto Stoneworks owns the rights to Darwin Falls Quarry, which opened in 1958. There is only one siding with limited capacity, so loads are small and frequent, depending on orders received.
